Areas of Circulation
Goal
Areas of circulation are space that will be kept empty when placing the template into another room. Such areas can be defined around a whole group or around one product.
Note: One must never define circulation areas that collide with the reference wall. Since the original layout should be a correct solution to the constraints expressed here, the original layout should have no obstacles, products in the areas of circulation that on defines at this stage. Two circulation areas can collide with each other without creating an error. Performance wise, prefer one area of circulation around a group than several areas of circulations around each product.
Area of Circulation around a Product
To define an area around an product, one needs to:
- Select the product.
- For at least one side (front, back, left, right) enter the depth of the area.
Area of Circulation around a Group
To define an area of circulation around a group, one needs to:
- Select the group.
- For at least one side (front, back, left, right) enter the depth of the area.
Example: The group contains a table and four chairs. One wants to keep 200mm free from each side of the group ( chairs and table).
