Product

Introduction​

Data stored in 3dcloud could be used to provide a tier with information on the products one sell. It means that the data stored is not meant only for the application that knows how to get the data.

In that extend, an excel export allows one to share the data within 3dcloud.

Process​

  1. Go to Product dashboard
  2. Select the products you want to export (you can use the search to filter the product list and select the product you want)

  1. Click on ACTIONS/EXPORT
  2. A dialog appears, its purpose is to let you choose the fields inside a product that you would like to extract.
    You can click on SELECT ALL to select all field, and CLEAR ALL to clear the selection.

Resolve parent data - a toggle labelled “Resolve parent data” is available in the dialog.

  • When the toggle is OFF (default) - only the values that have been entered directly on the child product are exported. Any data that the child inherits from a parent product (or from a parameter definition) is left blank in the exported file.
  • When the toggle is ON - the export contains the resolved (final) values that the child product inherits from its parent, as well as the values that parameters inherit from their definitions. In the Excel file you will see those inherited values filled in, just as they appear in the UI.

  1. When the selection of field is done, you can click on EXPORT DATA.
  2. The excel is downloaded, you can share it or make modification on the data to prepare for an import
